BSNL is making a comeback into the telecom sector. For the last few months, the operator has been coming up with new lucrative plans to draw more customers than before. The efforts are working as BSNL is continuously gaining subscribers every month, as reported by TRAI.
The operator has also been furthering its efforts with the upcoming 4G network that has already begun testing in several circles. And to sustain its growth, BSNL is extending benefits to consumers once again with its latest rental plans.
With so many revisions, new plans and offers under its name, now there is hardly any other telecom operator in the sector which has tweaked its portfolio like BSNL is doing right now. The state-led telecom operator has been vying for the attention of subscribers by the method of consumer-centric moves, new plans and choices for quite some time now.
In this latest move, the operator has introduced many exciting offers and discounts. One such exciting offer from BSNL has been the annual cashback scheme. Now previously, we got to see the BSNL cashback scheme offering 25% cashback to subscribers on broadband and FTTH plans, but not everybody knows that the telco is also offering impressive benefits for its postpaid subscribers too. The state-owned telecom operator is now offering up to 25 per cent cashback on its annual rental plans. The offer stands only for postpaid subscribers and it won’t apply to prepaid subscribers.
The higher priced plans are coming with 25 per cent cashback while the lower priced plans are coming with a cashback of 20 per cent. The details of the BSNL offer were first reported by telecomtalk.info, a wesbite that covers telecom news in India.
Furthermore, BSNL is offering 20 percent of cashback on plans like Rs 725 and Rs 525 per month. Postpaid customers opting for Rs 399, Rs 325 and Rs 225 can get 10 percent cashback benefit. Separately, the telecom operator is also offering cashback on semi-annual subscriptions.
Customers either buy Rs 9,150 or Rs 6,750 six months plan, they will get only 12 percent of cashback. This further means that with Rs 9,150 plan, you will get cashback worth of Rs 1,098 and with the other plan, you get Rs 810, the cited source mentioned.
BSNL has also enabled the cashback for its semi-annual plans for a period of six months. For the Rs 1,525 plan, customers will have to pay Rs 9,150 along with 12 per cent cashback.
Similarly, the Rs 1,125 plan and the Rs 799 plan will also offer 12 per cent cashback over six months. For the more affordable Rs 725 and Rs 525 plans, BSNL will offer 8 per cent cashback to the subscribers. The Rs 399, Rs 325 and Rs 225 plans will also offer a reduced cashback amount of 4 per cent.
Now the first thing to note about this offer is that it is currently limited to BSNL Kerala circle only. Secondly, BSNL has pointed out that to be eligible for the cashback. The subscribers will have to deposit the entire subscription period’s amount beforehand.
Subscribers who buy these subscriptions in April or May of this year will enjoy a waiver on security deposit charges and activation charges as well, BSNL has noted.
